P&L Tells You What. This Tells You Why.
Your FTMO dashboard tells you where the account stands against the target and the drawdown. It does not tell you why. Tanto takes the same fills, streamed from Tradovate or NinjaTrader within seconds of closing, and charts each one against price with your entry and exit marked. Beside the chart sit the three numbers that describe how you managed it: how far the trade ran in your favor, how far it went against you first, and what share of the move you actually kept.
Then you grade it, and you grade two things. The outcome gets an A through F. The execution gets its own rating, because a loser you managed exactly to plan and a winner you held through a stop you had already moved are not the same trade, even when the P&L says they are. Tag the setup, the entry, the exit, the conditions, and how you felt, and each of those becomes something you can filter by later.
Reports runs across every trade you have taken, journaled or not, so the analysis starts on day one. Cross Analysis puts any two dimensions against each other, setup against time of day, entry reason against emotional state, and cells with fewer than five trades stay gray, so a good week never gets mistaken for an edge. The heatmap does the same by hour and weekday, and it tends to find the hour that costs you before you do.
Evaluations end, one way or the other. Archive a finished one and it stops counting toward your account limit, frees the slot for the next attempt, and keeps every trade, grade, and note exactly where it was. Set a stop on each trade or a default risk per account, switch the app to R multiples, and a 50K Pro eval, a 150K Growth, and a funded account all land on the same scale, so your stats describe your process rather than your position size. FTMO Futures + Tanto FAQ
Through the platform your account runs on, Tradovate or NinjaTrader. You authorize read-only access on the broker's own login page, and from then on fills stream into Tanto within seconds of closing. Nothing to export and nothing to re-enter.
Yes. On first connection Tanto imports the last 30 days from Tradovate or NinjaTrader, usually within a minute, so an evaluation in progress arrives with its history intact. Anything older can be uploaded as a CSV and merged with the synced trades.
Yes. Add each as its own account in Tanto, with its own stats, calendar, and commission settings. The account selector then shows any one alone, any combination together, or every account you have across every firm.
Symbol, side, entry, exit, quantity, timestamps, and P&L on every fill. Tanto then charts the trade against price with your entry and exit marked and calculates MFE, MAE, and Captured % for it, so you can see how the trade was managed and not just how it ended.
Every trade gets two grades. Performance is A through F for the outcome. Execution is rated separately, Perfect, Decent, or Needs Work, for how closely you followed the plan. Tag the setup, entry, exit, conditions, and emotion, then filter Reports by any grade or tag, or cross any two against each other.
