E8 Markets
Trade Journal

Your E8 trades sync from cTrader or MetaTrader 5 as they close. Tanto charts each one, grades it, and turns your trades and setups into data you can track, refine, and improve on.

Journal Every E8 Trade

Your Best Setup Has a Leak

Tag the setup, then tag the entry, the exit, and how you felt. Filter to your best setup and Tanto shows the trades dragging it down: the ones you tagged revenge, chop, or early exit.

Setup × Time of Day

Cross any two things you track and get a heat map. Find out your breakout prints at the London open and bleeds after New York lunch, or that fear exits cost you more than bad entries.

Two Grades, Not One

Grade the outcome A through F, then the execution on its own. Filter to the A trades you executed perfectly and you have your playbook. The lucky wins stop counting as skill.

Did You Exit Too Early?

See the trade on the chart with how much of the move you actually kept. Find out if you're leaving the best part of every winner on the table.

Know Why Before You Log Off

The session ends and you already know why it went the way it did. Flip through the day's trades and the lesson is there before the next one starts.

Never Get Blindsided by the News

CPI, rate decisions, and jobs data load into your Day Journal before the session, so you know which hour to sit out.

Find Out What Keeps Ending the Challenge

Challenges rarely end on one bad trade. They end on the same mistake made for the third time: the entry taken before the setup was there, the size bumped after a loss, the strategy that works at the London open and gets forced in the New York afternoon. E8 shows you where your balance sits against the drawdown. It does not show you the pattern. Tanto does.

Connect cTrader or MetaTrader 5 once and every E8 trade syncs into Tanto on its own. No spreadsheets, no screenshots, no end-of-day logging. MetaTrader 5 brings in your full account history and cTrader your last 30 days, so a challenge already underway shows up with everything in it.

Then you have a journal. Trades open on a candlestick chart with your entry and exit marked at the exact price, and the arrow keys flip to the next one, so a whole session reviews in minutes. Tag each trade five ways: the setup, the entry, the exit, the conditions, and how you felt. Then let Reports pull them apart. Filter to your best setup and see whether it only loses on the trades you tagged revenge or chop. Cross setup against time of day and find the hours that pay. The calendar names your best day every month, the number E8's consistency rules are built on. That is the difference between buying another challenge and fixing what keeps failing.

Fail a challenge and the data stays. Archive the account and every trade, grade, and note is still there, ready to line up against the next attempt. Each E8 account gets its own stats and calendar, so you can see whether you trade the performance account the way you traded the challenge that got you there. Your other prop firms, brokers, and futures accounts sit in the same journal. Still choosing a plan? Our breakdown of the E8 Markets rules compares every E8 plan on drawdown, targets, consistency, and payouts.

E8 Markets + Tanto FAQ

It shows you what is ending them. Grade and tag your trades, and Reports, the heatmap, and the P&L calendar point at the pattern: the hour the account bleeds, the setup that loses, the revenge trades after the first red one. Failed challenges stay in your journal when you archive them, so you can line them up against the ones that passed.

Through cTrader or MetaTrader 5, whichever your E8 account runs on. For cTrader, choose the Demo environment, sign in on cTrader's own page, and grant read-only access. For MetaTrader 5, connect your terminal once, which takes a few minutes and needs no investor password, then add your E8 account when it appears. Either way, every trade syncs on its own from then on.

Yes. On MetaTrader 5, Tanto imports your full account history back to the first trade. On cTrader, the first connection pulls the last 30 days, usually within a minute, and older trades can come in as a cTrader history export that Tanto merges with the synced ones.

Only for trades to arrive in real time. While MT5 is open, trades sync within seconds, including the ones you place from the MT5 mobile app. When it is closed nothing is lost: your history lives at E8, and Tanto catches up the next time you open MT5. Trade charts also load while MT5 is open.

Yes. Give each challenge or performance account its own account in Tanto with its own stats, calendar, and commission settings. Add as many accounts as your plan supports, from E8 or any other firm or broker, and the account selector shows one at a time, any group of them, or everything at once.

It shows you the number the rule is built on. The P&L calendar names your best and worst day for the month, and each day opens to the trades behind it, so you can see what your biggest day is doing to your total before you request a payout. Tanto does not track E8's limits for you, so check the ratio against the rule for your plan.

On MetaTrader 5, any symbol E8 offers can chart, and charts load while MT5 is open. On cTrader, major forex pairs and metals chart. Every trade still gets its full stats, grades, and tags either way.

Yes. Every charted trade shows how far price moved in your favor, how far it went against you, and the share of the move you actually kept. The dashboard averages them across all your trades, so you can see whether you are leaving profit on the table.

Yes. The Day Journal loads central bank decisions, inflation and jobs releases, and earnings for each day, in your timezone. Plan around the high-impact releases, then see how your trades around them actually went.

Yes. The heatmap lays out your results by hour and day of week, and Cross Analysis puts your setups against time of day, so you can see whether a setup that looks profitable overall only works at the London open.

Yes. Put a stop on each trade, or set a default risk per account if you size every trade the same, then switch the app to R multiples. A small challenge and a large performance account read on the same scale, so the stats describe your process rather than your account size.

Two grades per trade. Performance is A through F for how it turned out. Execution is Perfect, Decent, or Needs Work for how closely you followed the plan. Tag the setup, entry, exit, conditions, and emotion, then filter Reports by any of them or cross two against each other.

Archive it. The account stops counting toward your plan limit, leaves your All Accounts totals, and keeps every trade, grade, tag, and journal entry as it was. When the next challenge starts, the old account is a click away for comparison.

No. Tanto is read-only. It cannot place trades, change orders, or move funds, so it never touches your E8 account or your positions.

Your edge is in the data.
